Could Guardians of the Galaxy 2 Be A Tearjerker?

While Chris Pratt (Star-Lord) is basking in the success of his dino-sized hit, Jurassic World, his Guardians of the Galaxy director, James Gunn, is already preparing fans for the sequel to his galactic blockbuster.

“Well I think I’ve said so much already… I think it’s a more emotional movie. It’s both a bigger movie and a smaller movie because we focus more intensely on some of the characters. We learn a lot about fathers in the second movie and I think we focus a lot on that,” he said to the press at the Saturn Awards on Thursday.

Guardians not only boasts major box-office numbers, but also quirky and very interesting characters, so fans should be extremely excited about dwelling further into where these beloved anti-heroes hail from.

While he did not give further information about the sequel, it’s safe to assume that his direction will surely not disappoint.

Guardians of the Galaxy 2 hits theaters in May 2017.
